Pricing

ASCENT is a HOSTED, full-service online application. You subscribe to it on an annual basis. Minimum subscription is one year. The prices are ALL INCLUSIVE with:

  • Set-up
  • Set colors and branding to match your company's corporate ID
  • Custom made log-in page, designed to match your corporate ID
  • Initial system training (see details below)
  • Hosting and maintenance
  • Technical Support (details below)
  • Updates (improvements and new features)
  • Number of Student activation tokens you pay for
  • Appropriate number of other role tokens for your needs
  • Full, non-restricted system with editing suite, memo system, surveys, reference library, etc.
  • Unlimited number of courses and exams
  • Unlimited amount of content. Some restrictions apply. Ask for details.
  • Unlimited use of Memos system
  • Unlimited use of Safey Reports system
  • Free archive storage of training records for as long as you use the system

Save 10% off total amount when you pre-pay for two or more years in advance. Most clients choose this option as it saves them money and bother.

Pricing Terms and Conditions

More Student users can be added any time at your attained pricing tier, pro-rated to closest month to balance of your paid subscription period.

ASCENT Workplace Edition is for use within a single aviation company/ organization (multiple locations OK) for free distribution of unlimited training within that organization. If you sell training courses, check out our course-based Trainer's Edition of ASCENT.

Use of the ASCENT system is subject to the terms and conditions of the ASCENT Software User Licensing Agreement, provided in the ASCENT system.

Initial System Training

Although ASCENT is very easy to use and quite intuitive, most of our clients appreciate a familiarization with it and some instruction on how to convert training materials to online courses.

We provide a detailed familiarization of the administrative and editing parts of the ASCENT system. In most cases, this is done on-site at the client's offices (travel expense extra, some restrictions apply). We can also do it via a web/phone conference (no charge) or at our offices in Edmonton.

Initial system training

Our training sessions are usually about four hours, depending on the computer skill levels of the learners. Most clients send about 2 – 8 people to the training. Attendees should be comfortable with using a computer, MS Word, PowerPoint, and doing some stuff on the web (ie: online banking or purchasing).

The training sessions generally include:

Initial system training
    • General tour of the system
    • Formatting & optimizing images and other content
    • Effective copying & pasting from word processor documents
    • Course structure guidelines
    • Content page layout guidelines
    • How to set up Quizzes/Exams, Surveys, and Memos
    • Publishing and managing courses
    • System user administration
    • Training records admin
    • Populating & managing Glossary, Reference Library, Rec Room, Links, etc.
    • General tips on using system, providing user support, and troubleshooting

In the training we actually build a complete sample course including quiz and survey, publish it, create a new user, assign them the course, then take that course as that new user and check their training records.

We also leave you with a Template of a properly structured course in your system, which you can use to easily create new courses.

Technical Support

This is what keeps us in business! Not because we make money from it (there is no charge for tech support), but because we do it so well that our customers fervently recommend us to others.

We provide "second tier" tech support. This means that your users must contact you for questions and issues and you are responsible for dealing with general user support (ie: "Sir, you need to double click that blue 'e' to launch your web browser").

Tech support e-mail

If any issues are not resolvable by you, or it is a technical bug, then contact us. We provide you a tech support e-mail address which goes to our tech team. Although our business hours are Mon – Fri, 8:30 – 5:00 (MST) for phone support, we usually respond to tech support e-mails quickly regardless of the time or day. If one of us is online, we’ll usually take care of it.
